The second part of Metroid Dread's update revealed in February is now live.
An update has just dropped that introduces the Boss Rush mode. The mode requires completion of the main game, and is a race against the clock to see how fast all of the game's bosses can be brought down.
It does not appear that difficulty level matters for unlocking the mode.

Featuring a retelling AND an original story.
Spike Chunsoft is returning to the licensed RPG space with another smash hit.
Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling Into Darkness has been announced for an October release. An action-based RPG, the game will feature a retelling of the events of the first season of the anime as well as an original scenario supervised by series author Akihito Tsukushi.
In this case, we mean "nobody" in the "malleable shell" sense.
The first online multiplayer game from a prominent independent developer is about to slam into the Switch.

Do you want to hear the awful truth about the work culture at the LEGO Star Wars developers, or do you just want to sock some dingers?
Things we missed last week: Not only did North America get Empire City: 1931, but Wonder Momo also came home (probably drunk). As well, SNK's Big Bang Pro Wrestling (no, Diamond Dallas Page is not in it) joined the Neo Geo Pocket Color collection.
For this week, we have quite a few games vying... Read more...

UNO Valhalla is out now.
The Switch isn't exactly Ubisoft's first choice when it comes to Assassin's Creed titles; we got the recently remastered Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection, but when it comes to the company's flagship title - Assassin's Creed Valhalla - the Switch simply can't run such a massive, graphically intensive game.
The good news, though, is that Switch owners can get a brief taste of what they're missing out on with some new Assassin's Creed Valhalla themed DLC for UNO, cleverly (?) titled UNO Valhalla.

Pac-Mom? I hardly know her.
In case you missed it, Pac-Land is out on Nintendo Switch today courtesy of Arcade Archives and Hamster. Those who have been eager to play this 1984 arcade classic now have a chance, just a little bit ahead of the release of Pac-Man Museum+.
Fans have spotted something a little bit off, however. Pac-Man's wife appears to have left him! Okay, let us slow down a second. At the end of every "trip" (basically level) in Pac-Land, Pac-Man returns home to his wife, Ms. Pac-Man, and their daughter. Now, if you're a die-hard Pac-Man fan, then you'll know that Ms. Pac-Man has a fairly iconic look, with a red bow in her "hair" along with red lips and red boots. Their child sports a similar look (without the lippy, obviously).

Our favourite dev shots from the Smash Bros. creator.
For a long time now Kirby creator and master of the Smash Bros. series Masahiro Sakurai has posted near-daily Super Smash Bros. Ultimate screenshots on Twitter using his special debug build of the game. This developer-only mode lets him line up angles and create special in-game shots that regular Smash players couldn't hope to catch with their retail copies.
The great man himself. He can play 8-player Smash against himself, you know. Uses his feet.

"We are not alone in our loyalty".
Do you think Square Enix has got a hankering for strategy RPGs lately? What with Triangle Strategy being a roaring success, and the recently-announced The DioField Chronicle, the company seem to be storming the castle on the genre.
Look, if you're into strategy RPGs, it's likely that - outside of the Fire Emblem series - that you love Final Fantasy Tactics. And yes, we too want to see that on the Switch. But if you're a fan of Yasami Matsuno, then you've probably heard of and played at least one game in the Ogre Battle series, so we might have something for you still.
